Dr. Alexander

"Every time I treat a patient I remind myself that every person is unique and has different needs. My goal is to design treatments that meet the specific needs of the patient and achieves the best outcome possible."

Dr. Alexander finished dentistry in 1994, at University Carol Davila, Bucharest, Romania. In 2006 she graduated from University of Toronto with honors and was awarded the "Best Overall Student Award".

Right after her graduation she was offered a position as clinical demonstrator in the Restorative Department at University of Toronto. Since 2006 she has the pleasure of teaching and guiding 3rd year students to perform their first dental treatments, which has brought her satisfaction and many "Best Clinical Demonstrator" awards.

Dr. Alexander also enjoys working in her office, doing every aspect of dentistry, listening to her patients and discussing their dental needs. She is known for her warm personality, attention to detail and for being very gentle.

Outside the dental office, she enjoys life as much as she enjoys dentistry. She likes hiking, Zumba and yoga. She loves travelling (as her patients say, travelling to exotic places) and she loves mountains (a piece of her heart is in the Himalayas).

I finished my dental assisting program at Medix College in 2017 and shortly after joined Dr. Alexander’s team in February 2018.

I have a warm, friendly personality and I love interacting with patients. I take pride in helping them through any fear they may have during dental procedures. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, travelling and spending time with my family.

I love being part of this team that truly cares for their patients!

Polyanna Akerman

Dental Hygienist

Polyanna completed her studies as a Dental Hygienist from Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries (TCDHA) where she graduated with honors and won the Colgate Student Total Achievement Recognition Award for compassion in patient care, enthusiasm for community service and dedication to/and enjoyment of the profession of Dental Hygienist.

Polyanna is very passionate about dental hygiene and delivering quality services to our patients. She enjoys implementing healthy oral lifestyle through education and motivation. Her cheerful and caring ways will make your experience enlightening and enjoyable.

Polyanna is a member of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) and Ontario Dental Hygienists Association (ODHA)
